2. Shortstop and pitcher must keep runner at 2nd base close to 2nd.
3. Catcher calls the play or fields the ball himself.
4. You may also defend this situation by charging your 3rd baseman and covering 3rd base with your shortstop. The shortstop must keep the runner close to 2nd base before breaking to 3rd base.
5. This defense leaves big holes in the infield and should not be used unless you are sure they are going to bunt.
